5 Basketball Dribbling Drills to Improve Your Ball Handling

Start by dribbling the ball at waist height for a few seconds and then "kill" the dribble by dribbling the ball as low as possible for a few seconds, then bring the ball up to waist height again. Repeat this for a few minutes.

2. Under the legs, back and forth:

Start off with your right leg extended, crouch slightly and repeatedly dribble the ball under your leg from your left hand back to your right hand. Try to gradually increase the speed in which you dribble the ball. Do this drill for around 30 seconds and then switch legs.

3. Shuffle dribble:

Start off by jumping slightly with one leg going forward and the other leg going back, dribble the ball in between your legs and then switch legs. Do this repeatedly for around 1 minute. This will help your between the leg dribbles.

4. Figure 8 low dribble:

This basketball dribbling drill starts out with your legs spread apart, dribble the ball as low as possible and begin to dribble the ball in a figure 8 motion in between and around your legs. When you've done this for around 1 minute, do a low dribble around one leg only with one hand, then switch over to the other leg with the opposite hand.

Start off by dribbling the ball to your side, then your next dribble with come to front of you as if you were going to do a crossover, but instead of switching hands, bring your hand over the ball and then next dribble will go back to the same side. Repeat this for around 1 minute then repeat this drill with your opposite hand.
